The Seafood Restaurant, St Andrews – Fife.

Thursday, July 2nd, 2009

Last week I had the privilege of eating at one of St Andrews’ finest eateries. The Seafood Restaurant was a brave choice for my Wife’s graduation lunch as I am only a recent fish/seafood eater so it is all a little new to me.

Ordering two fish dishes in one meal was a first for me, but the smoked haddock rarebit and the pea and ham risotto topped with monkfish was delicious (the monkfish also came with a cauliflower foam, which made me feel like I was on a TV cookery program!). I finished everything off with a gorgeous chocolate fondant dessert which was all warm and gooey just as you would want.

The venue is second to none, over looking St Andrews’ Old Course it’s a golf geeks dream. I cannot recommend this place enough, although it wasn’t cheap I certainly felt like we got value for money.

McDonalds Breakfast, tastier than expected!

Wednesday, July 1st, 2009

Breakfast is one of my favourite meals. I cannot explain to you why, but it is, breakfast rules!

Today I am starting a series of reviews that will probably go on forever, and will probably bore you all to tears!

I am eating my breakfast in McDonalds Kirkcaldy today, I had a pancake and sausages meal with coffee. I have a soft-spot for McDonalds breakfasts, they are cheap and somehow they do not seem as bad as the regular daytime food. Add free wifi into the mix and you have me as a happy customer.

The food was okay, not life-changing but edible and cheap (three pancakes, sausage patty and syrup). The coffee is great, considering the cost and how bad some people make coffee and charge you £2.50 ($4) a cup for.

What do you guys think, McDonalds breakfasts, yes or no?
